What is calc 4?

Calculus 4, also known as Multivariable Calculus or Vector Calculus, is a more advanced course in calculus that focuses on the study of functions of several variables. In Calc 4, students are introduced to concepts such as partial derivatives, gradients, line integrals, surface integrals, vector fields, curl, divergence, and Stokes' theorem. This course is usually taken by math, science, engineering, or computer science majors in their second or third year of college. It is considered an important prerequisite for higher-level courses in these fields and can be used to solve real-world problems such as optimization, geometry, physics, and engineering.
